Independent forecast verification for HubSpot

Know how much of your HubSpot forecast to believe.

Quarterdeck independently checks your HubSpot forecast against your team's actual deal history, so you can see what held, what missed, and how much of this quarter's number you can defend.

Read-only. Free to start. Quarterdeck does not replace HubSpot and does not forecast for you. HubSpot makes the forecast. Quarterdeck independently checks whether it holds, read-only.

The problem

Forecasts look precise until you compare them with what actually happened.

A forecast category is a rep's judgement on a date. Close dates move, amounts shrink and deals go quiet while they still count toward the number. Nobody reviewing the quarter can see how much of it rests on evidence.

A precise number, an unknown basis

The forecast total is exact to the dollar. How much of it is supported by recent activity, a next step and a stable close date is not shown anywhere.

No record of how it held

When the quarter ends, the forecast that was shown at the board meeting is rarely compared with what closed, so the same errors repeat.

Self-reported by design

The people who own the deals produce the forecast. An independent check is a different thing from another dashboard on the same data.

How it works

Three steps from connection to a number you can defend.

  1. 01

    Connect HubSpot

Read-only access. Quarterdeck reads your deals, owners and forecast categories. It cannot create, edit or delete anything in HubSpot.

  2. 02

    Backtest your forecast

See how previous forecasts performed: what was open at the start of each quarter, what closed, what slipped, and what your team's real conversion has been.

  3. 03

    Verify every week

Track whether the current forecast is holding up. Each deal is checked against the evidence in HubSpot, and every verdict is recorded with the date and the method that produced it.

Why Quarterdeck

HubSpot makes the forecast. Quarterdeck independently checks whether it holds.

HubSpot owns the forecast and your team owns the judgement. Quarterdeck sits outside both, reads the same deals, and reports what the evidence does and does not support.

What Quarterdeck does

  • Measures how much of the forecast amount shows supporting evidence, deal by deal.
  • Backtests how your pipeline has converted in recent quarters.
  • Records a dated verdict every day and grades it when the quarter closes.
  • Shows the facts, the rules that fired, and the verdict as separate things.

What Quarterdeck does not do

  • It does not forecast for you or replace the number your team submits.
  • It does not write to HubSpot. Access is read-only.
  • It does not predict whether a deal will close. Confidence is not a probability.
  • It does not use another customer's data, and it does not train on yours.

Who it is for

Built for teams where someone has to defend the number.

B2B SaaS revenue teams

On HubSpot Sales Hub Professional or Enterprise, with roughly 10 or more reps and a forecast reviewed every week.

Leaders who answer for the number

The CEO, CFO, CRO or board reads the forecast and wants to know how much of it holds.

Head of RevOps

Needs an independent check on the number before it goes to the board, with evidence for every claim.

VP Sales

Wants to see which deals in the commit are carrying the quarter, and which have no support behind them.

FAQ

Straight answers.

What data does Quarterdeck read?

Deal records, owners, pipeline and stage metadata, and the dates and amounts HubSpot holds for those deals. Access is through HubSpot's read-only scopes. Quarterdeck cannot write to your portal. The security page lists every scope.

Is my data pooled with other customers?

No. Every workspace is isolated by tenant, and your data is never combined with another customer's. It is never used to train any model.

How is the confidence figure calculated?

It is the share of the forecast amount whose deals show supporting evidence in HubSpot. It is not a probability of closing. The rules and weights are fixed and published on the method page, and each verdict records the method version that produced it.

What if my history is short?

Quarterdeck says so. If there are too few closed deals to backtest, the backtest shows why it cannot draw conclusions instead of showing a number. Close-date and amount history exist only from your first sync, and the audit labels that.
