FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything teams ask before connecting their HubSpot pipeline.

Does Quarterdeck change anything in my HubSpot account?
No. Quarterdeck is strictly read-only. It never creates, edits, or deletes any HubSpot record, and it takes no autonomous actions in your CRM.
What HubSpot data does Quarterdeck read?
Selected deal properties, deal owners, pipeline metadata, and deal-note creation timestamps — all read-only. The current integration uses HubSpot's contacts read scope for those note timestamps, not to call contact-record endpoints or store contact records. It does not access companies and requests no write scopes. See the Shared Data page for a full breakdown.
Is the scoring done by AI?
No. Deal ranking, risk flags, change detection, and trust context are deterministic and rule-based. AI generates narrative after those calculations and is not used to decide whether a deal changed. Generated narrative should be reviewed against the supporting evidence.
Which AI provider do you use, and what is sent to it?
We use Anthropic (Claude) for narrative summaries, not OpenAI. Requests contain structured findings Quarterdeck already calculated. They can include company name, reporting period, aggregate metrics, deterministic scores, and, where relevant, at-risk deal names, HubSpot deal IDs, amounts, and risk reasons. Quarterdeck does not send contact records or note bodies in these narrative requests.
How is Quarterdeck different from HubSpot dashboards?
HubSpot dashboards help you inspect pipeline metrics. Quarterdeck is narrower: it reviews HubSpot evidence and surfaces the small number of deals that deserve attention before the weekly forecast meeting.
Is Quarterdeck trying to replace Gong, Clari, or Salesforce forecasting?
No. Quarterdeck does not record calls, manage forecasts, coach reps, or write back to CRM. It is a read-only HubSpot attention layer for teams that want a concise weekly exception review.
Where is my data stored, and how long do you keep it?
Data is stored in Supabase. Quarterdeck's database schema uses row-level security policies scoped by tenant membership. When Quarterdeck confirms a successful disconnect, it has deleted the stored HubSpot connection and the CRM-derived records used by the product. Revoke the OAuth grant separately from HubSpot Connected Apps. See the Privacy Policy.
Can I revoke access?
Yes. A successful disconnect from Quarterdeck's Settings page deletes its local HubSpot-derived data; HubSpot's Connected Apps settings revokes the OAuth grant. Quarterdeck does not modify your HubSpot records. See the Setup Guide for steps.
How much does it cost?
Intended paid plans are Starter ($99/mo) and Pro ($299/mo). Quarterdeck is currently onboarding a limited number of design partners for early access and direct product feedback. See Pricing.
Do you support HubSpot Free / Starter tiers?
Compatibility depends on the permissions and API data available in your HubSpot portal. Quarterdeck uses read-only deal, owner, pipeline, and deal-note timestamp data; where a signal is unavailable, deterministic views label the evidence gap.
